Device Story

FlexiMarc is a permanent, biocompatible pure gold soft tissue marker. It is delivered via pre-sterilized needles (20 GA to 16 GA) into or near treatment sites. The marker functions as a radiopaque surrogate locator, visible across various imaging modalities including CT, CBCT, MR, kV x-ray, and MV x-ray. By providing a stable reference point, it allows clinicians to identify and guide subsequent treatment procedures relative to the marked anatomy. The flexible design minimizes marker migration. It is intended for single use by physicians in clinical settings.

Clinical Evidence

Bench testing only. Performance was evaluated by comparing imaging visibility across CT, CBCT, MR, kV x-ray, and MV x-ray modalities against the predicate device.

This serves to reduce the potential for migration of the marker. It also provides a unique shape form which the treatment area can be identified. Clinical Performance Comparison (Image Based) Both markers have been imaged using the typical imaging devices including, CT, CBCT, MR, kV x-ray and MV x-ray both markers are visible in all of these modalities. Note: Diameter is a consideration with respect to MV x-ray imaging -- meaning the larger diameter markers are required for both devices. ## Conclusion Both markers systems are deployed in the same fashion making this portion actually equivalent in its entirety.
