Intended Use

The EasyCare Tx System comprises of the titration software, EasyCare Tx, and the connection module accessory, Tx Link. The EasyCare Tx is intended to be used with ResMed continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) or Bilevel devices that incorporate ResMed's proprietary communication protocol via the Tx Link. EasyCare Tx provides real time data and treatment settings display, and can also provide CPAP or Bilevel device setting changes remotely. EasyCare Tx is intended to be used in a clinical environment. The Tx Link is intended to provide connectivity between ResMed EasyCare Tx software and ResMed continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) or Bilevel devices that incorporate ResMed's proprietary communication protocol. The Tx Link relays real-time signals measured by the CPAP or Bilevel device to a polysomnograph (PSG). The Tx Link is intended to be used in a clinical environment.

Device Story

EasyCare Tx System enables clinicians in sleep labs to monitor and adjust CPAP/Bilevel therapy remotely. System consists of EasyCare Tx software (PC-based) and Tx Link hardware. Tx Link connects to flow generator via proprietary protocol and to PC via Ethernet; it also outputs analog signals to third-party polysomnographs (PSG). Clinicians view real-time patient/flow data on PC and remotely modify device settings. Facilitates titration process within clinical setting; improves workflow efficiency for sleep lab staff.

Clinical Evidence

Bench testing only. No clinical data provided. Design and verification activities were performed based on risk analysis and design requirements, confirming the product met predetermined acceptance criteria.

Technological Characteristics

System includes PC-based software and hardware connection module (Tx Link). Connectivity via Ethernet and proprietary communication protocol. Provides analog signal output to third-party PSG systems. Operates in clinical environment. Complies with FDA guidance for software in medical devices and cybersecurity for networked medical devices.

Indications for Use

Indicated for use in a clinical environment for the remote monitoring and adjustment of ResMed CPAP or Bilevel devices via the Tx Link connection module.

Regulatory Classification

Identification
