Silmed Nasal Septal Button is a mechanical implant for non-surgical closure of nasal septum perforations. Device consists of two circular flanges connected by a central elliptical post; available in small, medium, and large sizes. Post is trimmable at time of placement to accommodate patient anatomy. We have reviewed your Section 510(k) notification of intent to market the device referenced above and we have determined the device is substantially equivalent (for the indications for use above and we nave asseminent in interstate commerce prior to May 28, 1976, the stated in the onerounds) to wice Amendments, or to devices that have been reclassified in enacoment and of the provisions of the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act (Act). You may, therefore, market the device, subject to the general controls provisions of the Act.
