The Triage® TOX Drug Screen Controls are assayed materials to be used with the Triage® TOX Drug Screen and Triage® Meter to assist the laboratory in monitoring test performance.
Device Story
Triage® TOX Drug Screen Controls consist of liquid human urine-based materials containing commonly abused drugs. Used in clinical laboratory settings to monitor performance of Triage® TOX Drug Screen and Triage® Meter. Controls provide known analyte concentrations; laboratory personnel compare device output against expected values to verify assay accuracy and system performance. Helps ensure reliability of patient drug screening results.
Clinical Evidence
No clinical data; bench testing only.
Technological Characteristics
Liquid human urine matrix; assayed for commonly abused drugs; storage at -20 °C or colder. Class I, reserved device (Product Code: DIF).
Indications for Use
Indicated for use as assayed quality control materials for monitoring the performance of urine-based drugs of abuse assays in a laboratory setting.
Regulatory Classification
Identification
A clinical toxicology control material is a device intended to provide an estimation of the precision of a device test system and to detect and monitor systematic deviations from accuracy resulting from reagent or instrument defects. This generic type of device includes various single, and multi-analyte control materials.
